Why the Bike

The bike is an 87 GPZ900R (A7)

I bought it in the first place for a combination of reasons.
To aid with my commute to Slough where I worked for a company that provided services for O2. That was a 65 mile trip each way each day. In the car this trip would take around 1.5 to 2 hours each way, queuing in traffic. I envied the riders crusing by on the white lines of the M4 car park.

To replace my wife. I bought the bike in the July of 2007, my wife had died, leaving me with our 3 children, in the June.

It would be cheaper to run then the car.

Okay, for the first one it worked quite well, as for the other two maybe not so well.
